From the age of twelve Kevin has been infected with the Sound of Bass, the first cd's he bought were the series of House Party album's.
Very soon he fell in love with the harder bass of the Thunderdome Series.

When he decided to buy vinyl records the first vinyl he bought was a record of Neophyte, he also bought 2 turntables and a mixer and then began to practice his mixing skills.

Entering the Hardcore DJ contest organized by Bonzai Records he finished in third place, not bad for his first time in a DJ contest.

At that time the scene of hardcore was a bit to small in Belgium, that is why he started mixing a bit of Hardhouse and Newstyle.

He was suprised by the sound of Underground Construction and experimented with this style.

Then the first Jump tracks by Da Rick and The Boy Tommy were released and that was the style he chose to concentrate on.

Most of his friends called him Kevlar instead of Kevin, so the artist named Kevlar was born.

To this day Jump has a great impact on the music scene, their are several versions like Hardjump and the Tekstyles, these are the styles he is mixing today.

In september 2006 he was selected for Re-Loaded's DJ Contest, they where obviously impressed enough to ask him to spin the records again to replace DJ Yves for a few evenings.

Later he was invited to celebrate and to spin the records at The Fox's b-day bash.

Remember the name DJ KEVLAR.
